  • 1 lb raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 8 small corn tortillas
  • 2 cups shredded purple cabbage
  • 1 large avocado, diced
  • 1/2 red onion, diced
  • 1 cup Cotija cheese, grated
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish
  • Lime wedges

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine thawed shrimp with minced garlic and spices. Mix well.
  2. Heat olive oil in a non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Sauté shrimp for about 2 minutes per side until cooked through.
  3. Toast tortillas on an open flame or skillet until lightly charred.
  4. Prepare toppings: shred cabbage, dice avocado and red onion, and chop cilantro.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together sour cream, mayonnaise, lime juice, garlic powder, and Sriracha sauce for the dressing.
