  • 23 cups powdered sugar
  • 12 tablespoons whipping cream (as needed)
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter (cut into 5 pieces)
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon coarse salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In one bowl, whisk together flour, pumpkin pie spice, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix the oil, brown sugar, white sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and pumpkin puree until smooth.
  4. Gradually combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture until just blended.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased pan and bake for around 35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. To make frosting, beat softened butter and cream cheese until smooth; gradually add powdered sugar and salted caramel until creamy.
