Ingredients

Scale
  • 2/3 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (plus more for greasing)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (divided)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • Flaky sea salt (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. For the crust, mix softened butter, 1 cup flour, powdered sugar, and salt; press into the pan and bake for 15 minutes until golden.
  3. For the caramel layer, combine sweetened condensed milk, butter, brown sugar, corn syrup, vanilla extract, and salt in a saucepan over medium heat until melted and smooth. Simmer for 5 minutes then pour over the baked crust.
  4. For the brownie batter, whisk together granulated sugar, remaining flour, cocoa powder, powdered sugar, chopped chocolate chips, and salt in one bowl. In another bowl, mix eggs with oil and melted butter; combine with dry ingredients. Spread batter over caramel layer.
  5. Bake for an additional 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  6. For the ganache topping, heat heavy cream until simmering; add dark chocolate chips and stir until smooth. Pour over brownies while warm and let set before slicing.
