Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup dark corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup butter (melted)
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups chopped pecans
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 13×9-inch baking pan with aluminum foil and spray with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, confectioners' sugar, and salt. Cut in softened butter until the mixture resembles crumbs.
  3. Press the crust mixture into the prepared pan and bake for 15 to 18 minutes until lightly browned.
  4. In another bowl, combine brown sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, eggs, chopped pecans, and chocolate chips. Pour this filling over the baked crust.
  5. Bake for an additional 25 to 30 minutes until set but slightly soft in the center. Allow cooling before slicing into bars.
