  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup warm water

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix warm water with yeast and let sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, and salt.
  3. Combine warm milk, sweetened condensed milk, softened butter, and egg into the yeast mixture; stir until well combined.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture and mix until a dough forms. Knead on a floured surface until smooth.
  5. Place dough in an oiled bowl and cover; let rise in a warm spot for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Punch down the dough and shape into a loaf; place in greased baking pan.
  7. Cover and let rise again for about 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Brush loaf with beaten egg wash and bake for approximately 15 minutes or until golden brown.
