Description

Creamy Gochujang Udon Noodles are a delicious fusion of spicy and creamy flavors, perfect for a quick weeknight meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 packs frozen udon noodles
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 shallots, chopped
  • 1 ½ tbsp gochujang
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 2 tsp soy sauce
  • Optional garnishes: green onion, grated parmesan cheese, egg yolk

Instructions

  1. Cook the udon noodles in boiling water according to package instructions. Reserve ½ cup noodle water before draining.
  2. In a pan over medium heat, melt the butter and sauté garlic and shallots until fragrant. Add gochujang and cook for 30 seconds.
  3. Stir in heavy cream and reserved noodle water, then add soy sauce and bring to a simmer until thickened.
  4. Toss cooked noodles in the sauce until evenly coated.
  5. Serve hot with garnishes like green onion and parmesan cheese.
