- 2 packs frozen udon noodles
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 shallots, chopped
- 1 ½ tbsp gochujang
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 2 tsp soy sauce
- Optional garnishes: green onion, grated parmesan cheese, egg yolk
Instructions
- Cook the udon noodles in boiling water according to package instructions. Reserve ½ cup noodle water before draining.
- In a pan over medium heat, melt the butter and sauté garlic and shallots until fragrant. Add gochujang and cook for 30 seconds.
- Stir in heavy cream and reserved noodle water, then add soy sauce and bring to a simmer until thickened.
- Toss cooked noodles in the sauce until evenly coated.
- Serve hot with garnishes like green onion and parmesan cheese.
