Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb wild-caught shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon lime zest (from 1 lime)
  • 4 tablespoons lime juice (from 2 limes)
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • ½ bunch cilantro, finely chopped
  • 3 cups finely shredded green cabbage
  • ½ cup Greek yogurt
  • Avocado, sliced
  • 8 (6-inch) tortillas

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, chili powder, olive oil, lime zest, lime juice, honey, and half of the chopped cilantro.
  2. Add shrimp to the marinade and let sit for about 10 minutes.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and melt butter. Cook marinated shrimp for about 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix shredded cabbage with Greek yogurt, remaining lime juice, and chopped cilantro to create the slaw.
  5. Warm tortillas in a skillet or microwave. Assemble tacos by placing shrimp on each tortilla and topping with creamy slaw and sliced avocado.
