Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and line two cookie sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat cubed butter with brown and granulated sugar until creamy (about 2-3 minutes).
  4. Mix in the melted dark chocolate followed by the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined; do not overmix.
  6. Gently fold in the chocolate chips using a spatula.
  7. Chill the dough for at least 3 hours before scooping out balls of dough (about 3 tablespoons each) onto prepared sheets.
  8. Bake for 12-14 minutes until tops are set but still soft in the center.
  9. Let cool on trays for at least ten minutes before transferring to wire racks.
